1927:
Design, Build and Sell the world's best vehicles by striving to provide "The Highest Level Of Safety, Quality and Customer Service in Any Industry"
1938:
To accommodate an increasing demand, GM established an assembly plant in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, the first automotive assembly plant in Indonesia.
1993:
GM Indonesia was formed, a joint venture between GM (60%) and Garmak Motor (40%).
1997:
PT GM Indonesia became 100% owned by GM.
2002:
The Opel brand changed into the Chevrolet brand.
2005:
The manufacturing in GM Indonesia was shut down (manufacturing became dormant).
2006:
GM Indonesia focused on the National Sales Company (PT GM AutoWorld Indonesia)
2011:
GM reinvested USD 150M in Indonesia.
2012:
GMI and GMIM rebuilt the Bekasi manufacturing facility.
May 2013:
The Bekasi manufacturing facility reopened.
